Censur Scarf

10.00

You are buying a hand-silkscreened bandana featuring a drawing that honors my late grandmother. This scarf is a reinterpretation of Martin Schongauer's engraving, Censur. It depicts a thurible - an incense burner used in Catholic mass.

22x22" 100% Cotton

This scarf was made as part of my recent solo show, Repeat. Repeat is a solo textiles and printmaking installation as a memorial to my late grandmother, a woman who I am still learning about in her absence. 120 bandanas with 3 different designs were sewn into an intricate 20' x 12' repeat-patterned motif quilt.
